The Best Non Toxic Eyeliner: My Review

When it comes to green beauty anything, it can be difficult to find ones that perform just as good as conventional ones. And that's no different when looking for the best non toxic eyeliner. Over the years, I've tried a lot of different types and brands and I wanted to share the ones I loved and which ones didn't work well. So let's get to it!

The Best Non Toxic Eyeliner: Pencils
Alima Pure, Natural Definition Eye Pencil:
This is the latest eye liner I've tried and I'm SO INTO IT. I think it may be one of the best non toxic eyeliners I've tried so far. It glides on effortlessly and is a true pure, deep black in terms of colour. I don't think I've come across another eye liner (pencil) that goes on as smooth as this one. The moisturizing extracts are what assure that even and smooth application. The only downside to this one is that it can smudge just a bit after you put it on. I find it happens right in the corner of the eye (right after you apply it) and with a quick wipe its gone. Other than that, it stays on all day and doesn't smudge. I use the shade ink, which is a pure, deep black. Also, it washes off VERY EASILY, so you don't need to worry about tugging at your eye area.

Hynt Beauty, Forte High Definition Eye Liner
I've used this eye liner in the past and it does a decent job of lining your eyes. However, it doesn't go on as smooth as the Alima Pure so for that reason, I'd still recommend Alima over Hynt. This one doesn't smudge and does stay on all day, but the application is not as smooth as I'd like. I also found that sharpening this one was a little more difficult.

Vapour, Eye Definer
This one performed pretty well but similar to the Hynt one above, it wasn't as smooth as Alima Pure. Although I do love Vapour foundation for my skin type (which is on the dry side), I don't love this eye liner enough to repurchase. I know that they recently reformulated a lot of their products, so perhaps this eye liner is smoother now.

I think you can tell, out of the three pencils, I'd definitely recommend and repurchase Alima Pure.

The Best Non Toxic Eyeliner: Liquid
Every now and then, I love the look of liquid eyeliner. It definitely requires a bit more effort and precision, so for this reason, I usually save it for special occasions. In the past, I used to do liquid liner all the time, so I definitely understand the importance of finding a good one. Below are the the best non toxic eyeliners I've tried.
100% Pure, Black Tea Long Last Liquid Eye Liner
This one goes on quite easily, with the brush. The only downside I find, is how fast it dries. If you make a mistake, it can be difficult to fix it and I find it peels off a little in certain areas if you do end up trying to go over certain areas to fix it. However, It doesn't smudge at all and will stay on all day long which is great. Once you get used to the application and the brush, you usually don't experience any more issues.
Tip: less is more with this product, so be sure to wipe the applicator on the side of the tube so you don't use too much product. It also washes off easily at night with an oil cleanser, which is usually what I use. See below for my fave cleanser right now!

Zuzu Luxe, Liquid Eyeliner
I've also tried this liquid liner from Zuzu Luxe and I really love how easily this one glides on. The brush is also a little easier in my opinion to master than the 100% Pure one. It's also more forgiving than the 100% Pure which as I stated can be a little difficult to fix if you make a mistake applying it. The colour is deep and pigmented as well. This brand also comes in lots of fun colours, although I tend to always stick to black. I would definitely repurchase and recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy to use liquid eyeliner. This one also washes off easily with an oil cleanser.

My Other Favourite Green Beauty Eye Products
If you want to read all about my favourite green beauty mascaras, you can check out this post. I am constantly updating it with new products.
Fave Green Beauty Brow Pencil
In keeping with the theme of all things eyes, the brows are just as important. My favourite product BY FAR is Kimiko Beauty Fine Eyebrow Pencil. The fine strokes you can get from this product is what makes it SO GOOD. It looks very natural, lasts all day and is fairly easy to use. I've bought it twice now and will continue to use this brow pencil going forward. The brush at the end of the pencil is perfect for blending and brushing your brow hairs up.
